Writing Days

The RTG is offering Writing Days for all members, during which you can withdraw from everyday academic hustle and find a whole day of time to write (and read, think, conceptualize, analyze,...). The Writing Days are structured just like the longer Writing Retreats but only last one day.

In the morning, we meet and set our personal goals for the day. The rest of the Writing Day is built around several "shut-up-and-write" phases in which we all write together at individual desks in a shared room. To inspire writing and working in a concentrated and productive fashion, the silent writing phases are introduced by short inputs or exercises in which you are encouraged to reflect on and expand your writing strategies. And of course, you have the opportunity to talk about your writing project, ask questions, and find out how others are doing with their respective tasks.

The Writing Days take place in Bielefeld or Paderborn in an alternating mode.
