A contribution from the TRR 318 Ö project with Britta Wrede and Linda Thomßen from the MAS working group has been published in the newly published anthology "Practices of science communication in research networks: Formats, Publics, Sustainability" has been published.

The anthology, edited by Marina Böddeker and Britta Hochkirchen, sheds light on the practices, goals and challenges of science communication in interdisciplinary research networks. The contributions reflect on various communication formats and address questions of public spheres, implicit understandings and sustainable communication strategies.

The contribution to TRR 318 is entitled "The concept of co-construction in relation to science communication" (Ilona Horwath, Nils Klowait, Michael Lenke, Tim Rittig, Carsten Schulte, Linda Thomßen, Britta Wrede). It explains the central concept of co-construction in TRR 318: explaining is understood as a reciprocal practice in which dialogue partners create meanings together. The Ö project team uses this concept to enter into dialogue with relevant sub-publics - including pupils, medical students, decision-makers and often "non-scientific" groups. Target group-specific co-construction workshops and other formats of co-constructive public relations work are presented.
